Leinster League Round 1 – Results

The 2011 XC MTB season got off to a flying start yesterday at Leinster League Round 1, hosted by Racing795. The new ability-based racing categories were a great success and resulted in some very close racing at all levels.

Racing795 was well represented on the race course. Rudolf came 5th in Senior 2 (See how it’s done at 1:40 in Brian’s video above!) Damien and David C both managed top ten finishes in Senior 3 while David F Junior, Eve and Jared did us proud in the U8 and U10 races.

Only a week to go – Leinster League Round 1

Leinster League Round 1, the eagerly anticipated 2011 season opener, takes place next Sunday, 20th March. With less than a week to go the countdown is well and truly on.  The course is nearly ready and we’re scouring the internet for favourable weather forecasts.

The venue is the same as last year, but the 2011 course is longer and more challenging, featuring most of 2010’s exciting singletrack with a few new sections added to keep things interesting. Last year’s race attracted 130 racers from all over Ireland. Post-race feedback was extremely positive so we’re expecting even greater numbers this year.

Some of Ireland’s finest mountain bikers have already signed up, and with the new categories in place, the racing will be intense. The Senior 1 line-up is already looking savage, with more to come!

Registration will close at midnight on Friday 18th so don’t miss out.

IMPORTANT: Registration and payment for this race is online-only.
