Training Activities

– This is a guide only, contact us for detailed info. Our Spins section of the club forum is the best place to find out what’s going on week to week.

See our club forum for a full lineup of activities for 2017. Planned coaching sessions for all levels are planned for the early months of 2017 in running, coaching and swimming.

Swim

Swim training session at the Waterfront leisure centre, Enniscorthy and Mt Wolseley in Carlow. Inexperienced swimmers might be better suited to the Mt. Wolseley sessions and Enniscorthy sessions would suit the more advanced swimmers . These sessions are popular so please contact us before attending to ensure we have space.

Bike

Mountain biking around Mt Leinster.  Spins are organised through our member forum, but usually Sunday mornings at 9-ish for a 2-3 hr spin. We also have a midweek spin around 7.30pm on Wednesdays. Decent MTB-specific lights essential.

Racing 795 road spins are also organised through the member forum on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Keep an eye on forum for organised sessions for all abilities coming soon. If new to cycling, then the Saturday morning road spin would probably suit you better.

Helmets are compulsory on all spins. No exceptions.

Run

We have permission to use the buggy paths at Bunclody Golf Club on Monday evenings between 8pm and 10pm. This is for the winter months only. Headlights are required and it is strictly members only. Once again keep an eye on the member forum for details of what people are up to.

We also have running on a Thursday night at 8pm in Bunclody GAA pitch under lights.

Members also run the lovely hills around Bunclody. Gibbet Hill, Mt Leinster and Kilbranish again – see forum for details.

Classes

We occasionally organise classes for members, e.g. Spinning, Core & strength circuits, Group turbo training, Pilates. Again the best place to find out about this is the club forum.

All times and locations are subject to change depending on weather, availability etc so please do get in touch with a club member or email us if you would like to get involved.
