Beginner Females 1 Day Workshop

Ladies have you registered to take part in the TriStart Challenge Series as part of the Bray Aquathon and Bunclody Triathlon this summer?? Would you like some help and guidance with your training programme?? Well then we have the answer for you.
A one day Beginner Females Workshop will take place on Sunday 20th June 2010 from 9.30am-5.30pm at Enniscorthy Leisure Centre, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. The workshop is aimed at females who are new to the sport of Triathlon, have little or no experience in Triathlon training or events and are taking part in the Wicklow Tri Club Bray Aquathon on Wednesday 21st July 2010 and the Racing 795 Bunclody Triathlon on Sunday 1st August 2010 The workshop is supported by Wicklow Local Sports Partnership, Sports Active Wexford and the Irish Sports Council’s Women in Sport Initiative.
The workshop will cover the basic fundamentals of Triathlon such as what to expect and what you need to do a triathlon, cycling for triathlon and basic bike setup, running tips and tricks, transitions, basic training principles, balancing lifestyle and training, basic nutrition and recovery. There will also be practical sessions in cycling, running, strength and stretching.
The workshop will be delivered by Wicklow Tri Club Coach and Triathlon tutor Jamie Bray and Lynne Algar, Munster Development Officer with Triathlon Ireland, who herself is one of Ireland’s top female triathletes and a strength and conditioning coach.
